It's amazing how much better you feel after 20 mins in the hot tub at the end of a very long day!
These past few weeks/months I've had a few really good breakups. In December, I broke up with Liz (the raucous, angry drunk.) In January, I broke up with beer - we had too many Saturday night dates, & the past few weeks, I've broken up with the coffee bean & the deli downstairs at work. All healthy & drama-free breakups! "I only go FORWARD in life!"
Super-high ponytail, & a little lipstick. Everyone thinks I look so different... glowy even. Must've had at least 5 or 6 people say the same thing. Guess I should gussie up every once in a while. Can't believe I'm the same person that was all foo-foo in heels, makeup & long nails back in my AT&T Comcast days!
Realized that all the trash I'd been separating into the "recycle bin" dumpster doesn't get recycled. A little piece inside of me died.
I went to the dentist yesterday. My cheekbone/ upper jaw still hurts where I got the Novocaine.
me: (holding cheek)
cp: you poor thing.. does it hurt bad?
me: it's about a 5
cp: (laughing uncontrollably) a 5!
me: (stifling a giggle) don't make me laugh.. when i laugh, it's like a 7.
cp: (laughs even harder)
Got to go home early, because nobody needed me. I had been requested by Orthopedics, but when I showed up, they were fully staffed, and said they didn't need me. Went back to the nursing office around 09:45, and they called like every department to see if they needed help. The manager finally decided by 10am to let me (and CP) go home. We got paid 4 hours (8am-12pm) so it wasn't a total waste... And secretly, I'm glad to go home... my face hurts.
I absolutely LOVEEE when celebrities wait in the waiting room just like everyday people... A celebrity & her husband in today. Like them both - especially her. And to respect her privacy, that's the end of the story...
Dentist tonight- ugh. Nervous... it's been too long. Not sure how I feel about this place, but I love their hours... They stay open 'til 8pm 2 nights a week, and are open 2 Saturdays a month. (Seriously, I wish they'd give something for the nerves... I'm so uncomfortable about this.)
